An InfoAnalytics recent poll conducted in the Pru East, Sene West, Kintampo South, and Techiman South constituencies in the Bono East region has revealed a significant lead for John Dramani Mahama (JDM) over his closest rival, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (DMB).
According to the poll, the opposition leader, JDM maintains a strong lead with 56% of the votes, while DMB trails behind with 26%. Alan Kyeremanten (AKK) and Nana Kwame Bediako (NKB) secured 6% and 9% of the votes, respectively.
Notably, the poll shows that DMB’s performance is 16% lower than Nana Addo’s results in the same constituencies during the 2020 elections.
This suggests that DMB is underperforming in the region. The poll also indicates that AKK and NKB are gaining momentum, potentially making the election more challenging for DMB.
The results underscore the belief that the two candidates are siphoning votes from DMB, making it difficult for him to close the gap with JDM.
The outcome of this poll may serve as a wake-up call for DMB’s campaign team, as they strategize to regain lost ground in the Bono East region.
