Ghana’s Minister for the Interior, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, has announced his participation in the 55th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Mediation and Security Council at the ministerial level, held Tuesday in Abuja, Nigeria.
The high-level meeting brought together Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defence, and Security from all ECOWAS Member States to discuss pressing security concerns affecting peace and political stability across the West African sub-region.
According to a statement shared by the Interior Minister on his Facebook page, the session focused on strengthening regional cooperation, improving conflict-prevention mechanisms, and advancing coordinated responses to emerging security threats.
He noted that the discussions reaffirmed the collective resolve of ECOWAS Member States to work together toward sustainable solutions aimed at safeguarding regional stability.
