The 2024 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has congratulated the party’s newly elected constituency executives following the successful conduct of constituency elections across the country.
In a press release issued on Saturday, Dr Bawumia said the election of the executives reflected the confidence reposed in them by the grassroots of the party.
He expressed confidence that the newly elected officials would provide the leadership, unity and commitment required to strengthen the NPP and position it for victory in the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.
“Their election reflects the confidence reposed in them by the grassroots of the Party,” the statement said. “Dr. Bawumia is confident they will provide the leadership, unity, and commitment needed to strengthen the Party and work tirelessly towards securing victory in the 2028 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.”
Dr Bawumia also appealed to aspirants who were unsuccessful in the constituency elections to unite behind the newly elected executives in the interest of the party.
He said every member of the NPP had an important role to play in building a stronger, more united and victorious party ahead of the next general election.
The former Vice President stressed that unity remained the party’s greatest strength and the surest path to electoral success in 2028.
