The Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, says the Ministry of Defence is strengthening collaboration with regional authorities to enhance security across the country.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Mr Genfi disclosed that eleven regional ministers visited the ministry for discussions focused on improving security coordination within their respective regions.

According to him, the meeting highlighted the critical role the Ministry of Defence plays in safeguarding regional and national security.
“Our discussions focused on the vital role the Ministry of Defence Ghana plays in safeguarding security across their regions,” he wrote.
Mr Genfi expressed appreciation to the regional ministers for what he described as a productive engagement and for their commitment to working closely with the ministry.

He noted that strengthened cooperation between the ministry and regional leadership is essential in addressing emerging security challenges and maintaining stability nationwide.
The Ministry of Defence has in recent months intensified efforts to deepen collaboration with local authorities as part of broader strategies to bolster national security.
