In every successful institution, there are those whose names are known by everyone, and there are those whose dedication quietly sustains the vision from behind the scenes.
They are the photographers who preserve defining moments, the media teams who amplify every message, the evangelists who travel from community to community, the administrators who keep daily operations running, and the countless volunteers who work long before the congregation arrives and long after it has left.
Rarely do they become the centre of attention.
Last Sunday, however, that changed.
During a packed worship service at Stars of Heaven Ministries in Bolgatanga, Prophet David Rauf, the church’s Founder and Leader, interrupted the usual rhythm of worship with a gesture that few in the congregation expected.
One after another, five long-serving coworkers were invited to the front. As their names echoed through the auditorium, applause quickly swelled into celebration.
Four received the keys to brand-new cars.
Another received a brand-new motorcycle.
For the beneficiaries, it was a life-changing moment. For the congregation, it was a public demonstration of something they say has become a defining characteristic of Prophet David Rauf’s ministry—recognising faithful service with meaningful action.

The recipients were not chosen by chance. They are individuals who have spent years supporting the ministry, travelling on evangelistic missions, carrying out assignments on behalf of the prophet and contributing to the steady growth of Stars of Heaven Ministries.
Among them was Prophet David Rauf’s personal photographer—a creative entrusted with documenting the ministry’s journey and shaping its public image.
In many churches, creatives such as photographers, videographers, instrumentalists and sound engineers devote countless hours to ministry with little public recognition. By honouring one of them in such a tangible way, Prophet David Rauf sent a message that excellence behind the scenes deserves appreciation just as much as excellence on the platform.
Yet the vehicles presented last Sunday tell only part of the story.
According to Apostle Amos Antumwini, Associate Pastor of Stars of Heaven Ministries, rewarding committed workers has become a consistent feature of the ministry over the past several years.
Between 2022 and 2026, multiple rounds of vehicle donations have been made to dedicated coworkers to improve their mobility and strengthen their ability to carry out ministry assignments. The latest presentation, featuring four cars and six motorcycles, represents the newest chapter in what has become an ongoing investment in people rather than a one-off act of generosity.
To understand why, one must first understand the man behind the gesture.
Prophet David Rauf’s journey is unlike that of many contemporary Christian leaders.

Born into a Muslim family, he later embraced Christianity after an experience he believes transformed the course of his life and called him into ministry. That conviction eventually led to the establishment of Stars of Heaven Ministries in Bolgatanga.
From what began as a local ministry, the church has grown into a network with more than 20 branches across Ghana and parts of Nigeria. Alongside his pastoral responsibilities, Prophet David Rauf is a trained nurse, author and Bible teacher whose teachings focus on Christian discipleship, spiritual growth and evangelism.
Those who work closely with him insist that the growth of the ministry has never distracted him from investing in individuals.
“He is naturally generous,” Apostle Antumwini says. “His passion is to see people become better and to ensure they are blessed.”
That philosophy extends well beyond church workers.

Since the ministry’s establishment in 2019, Stars of Heaven Ministries has operated a weekly feeding programme that currently supports more than 400 widows. Every Sunday, beneficiaries receive food items including gari, rice, maize and cooking oil. During festive seasons such as Christmas and Easter, additional food packages are distributed to help ease the burden on vulnerable households.
The ministry also provides educational assistance. Apostle Antumwini disclosed that Prophet David Rauf recently directed the church to settle the outstanding school fees of about 15 students from the congregation studying at Bolgatanga Technical University.
Medical support forms another pillar of the ministry’s outreach. Church members facing financial challenges with healthcare regularly receive assistance, while many young members have also benefited from support with accommodation.
Taken individually, each initiative reflects compassion.
Viewed together, they reveal a leadership philosophy rooted in practical service.
Those closest to Prophet David Rauf describe him as calm, approachable and deliberate in his leadership.

Apostle Antumwini portrays him as a mentor who leads with patience rather than intimidation, correcting people privately while encouraging them to grow. In his view, Prophet David Rauf’s greatest strength is not simply what he preaches, but the consistency with which he lives out the principles he teaches.
Leadership experts often argue that lasting organisations are built not only through vision, but through the ability to inspire loyalty.
At Stars of Heaven Ministries, that loyalty appears to be nurtured not by words alone but through deliberate investment in people.
The cars and motorcycles handed over last Sunday were symbols of appreciation. More importantly, they were practical tools intended to help trusted coworkers continue serving more effectively.
In an era where leadership is increasingly measured by how leaders treat those around them, Prophet David Rauf’s approach offers a compelling lesson: institutions grow stronger when the people who quietly build them know their sacrifices are seen, valued and rewarded.
The applause that filled the church auditorium last Sunday was therefore about more than new vehicles.
It was a celebration of a leadership culture that places gratitude alongside vision, and people alongside purpose.
