The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Andrew Augustus Nana Kwasi, has delivered a strong warning to Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, who serves as the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Nana Kwasi cautioned Wontumi to immediately halt his alleged harassment of NDC members, or face the possibility of serious repercussions, including potential gunfire.

This warning follows the circulation of viral videos that purportedly show Chairman Wontumi chasing NDC members with money, pressuring them to strip off their NDC-branded attire, and compelling them to wear NPP-branded T-shirts instead.

Nana Kwasi condemned these actions as not only unprofessional but also disrespectful and a display of poor judgment.

Nana Kwasi issued this stern message while addressing a large assembly of NDC supporters and local residents in Tafo-Pankrono during a recent campaign walk.

The event, which is part of the NDC’s broader campaign efforts ahead of the 2024 general elections, saw a massive turnout of participants from across the Tafo-Pankrono Municipality.

This gathering showcased the NDC’s strong influence and deep-rooted support in the region as the election season draws near.

Nana Kwasi’s presence at the event was greeted with overwhelming enthusiasm, further solidifying his popularity and deep connection with the grassroots supporters of the NDC. Surrounded by eager supporters, he actively engaged with the crowd, exchanging greetings and invigorating the participants.

In his address, Nana Kwasi urged voters to support John Dramani Mahama, the NDC’s presidential candidate, and S.M. Kamil (Yababa), the party’s parliamentary candidate for Tafo-Pankrono.

He highlighted the NDC’s proven track record of delivering on its promises and reiterated the party’s commitment to addressing the pressing needs of Ghanaians.

The event’s atmosphere was electric, as participants showcased their loyalty to the NDC by wearing party paraphernalia and waving flags adorned with images of NDC leaders, including former President Mahama.
