The Ashanti Regional Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated members elected as Constituency Executives following the successful conclusion of the party’s constituency executive elections across much of the region.
In a statement signed by the Ashanti Regional Secretary, Kwame Adom Appiah, Esq., the Committee commended delegates and party members for what it described as their commitment, discipline and dedication throughout the electoral process.
According to the Committee, the peaceful conduct of the elections reflects the NPP’s strong internal democratic tradition and has resulted in the election of new constituency executives in areas where voting was successfully conducted.
The Regional Executive Committee urged the newly elected executives to serve with humility, integrity, fairness and inclusiveness while working to strengthen the party, promote unity and prepare its structures for future political activities.
It also expressed appreciation to candidates who were unsuccessful in the elections, describing their participation as a demonstration of commitment to the party. The Committee encouraged them to accept the results in good faith and support the newly elected leadership, stressing that every member remains an important stakeholder in the party.
The Committee further assured members that efforts are underway to complete the constituency executive elections that were postponed in six constituencies. It said consultations and preparations are ongoing to ensure the remaining elections are conducted peacefully, transparently and in accordance with the party’s constitution and electoral guidelines.
The affected constituencies are Atwima Mponua, Kwadaso, Manhyia North, Manso Nkwanta, Obuasi West and Old Tafo.
The Regional Executive Committee appealed to party members in the affected constituencies to remain calm, united and patient while the necessary arrangements are made to complete the electoral process.
