Former Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has extended a generous donation of GH¢100,000 and 200 bags of cement to support victims of the recent Adum Railways fire disaster in Kumasi.
The donation, presented during a visit to the affected area today, is aimed at aiding the victims’ recovery and rebuilding efforts.
Dr. Adutwum praised the resilience and determination of the affected residents, describing them as “engines of growth” who continue to inspire through their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to education.
“These are individuals who take their children to school and support the development of our country.
They are not just victims they are builders of our nation,” he said.
“If we fail to support them, it is the children who suffer most.”
Moved by the victims’ perseverance, Dr. Adutwum called on government and private citizens alike to contribute to the reconstruction efforts and help restore livelihoods. “They are waiting for us. They are calling on us to act. It is our duty to support and uplift them,” he stated.
The donation is expected to support both immediate relief efforts and long-term rebuilding within the fire-ravaged community.
The victims after receiving the donation through tgeirvleaders commended the Bosomtwe Member of Parliament for supporting the them at this crucial moment.
