Real Tamale United (RTU) has appointed Alhaji Ibrahima Aminu as its new Chief Executive Officer as the club seeks to strengthen its administration and chart a new course for growth.
The appointment brings to the club an executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience in organisational management and over a decade in football administration.
In a statement announcing the appointment on Monday, RTU said Alhaji Aminu has led and restructured major organisations across Ghana and other African countries, earning a reputation for improving corporate governance, restoring financial stability and driving institutional transformation.

The club also highlighted his extensive experience in football administration, saying his more than 10 years in the sport have given him a strong understanding of football management at both the grassroots and executive levels.
Beyond football, Alhaji Aminu has served as an international consultant for global development institutions, including the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), GIZ, and the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development and Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (DFID/FCDO). His consultancy work has focused on advising governments and organisations on policy, investment and institutional reforms across Africa.
RTU said the appointment marks the beginning of a new phase in the club’s development, expressing confidence that Alhaji Aminu’s leadership and experience will help advance its institutional ambitions both on and off the pitch.
