Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has outlined a bold plan for economic growth, as part of the “Resetting Ghana” manifesto.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Mahama emphasized the need for a 24-hour economy aimed at boosting business development, job creation, and overall prosperity for all Ghanaians.
He explained that the 24-hour economy strategy, designed to maximise productivity and transform Ghana into an export-led and import-substitution economy, would be central to his fiscal policy.
This plan, he believes, will stimulate economic growth and create sustainable jobs across various sectors.
In addition to the 24-hour economy initiative, Mahama highlighted other key policies, including the creation of a Women’s Development Bank, the introduction of a National Apprenticeship Programme, and a partnership with the private sector to develop a $3 billion digital technology industry.
The NDC flag bearer also underscored his unwavering commitment to job creation, emphasizing the FEED Ghana programme and strategic investments in agriculture, manufacturing, and the creative economy as critical drivers of employment and growth.
Mahama’s ambitious agenda reflects his vision for transforming Ghana’s economy and addressing the needs of all citizens through innovation, strategic investment, and policy reforms.
