The The Church of Pentecost has inaugurated an Intellectual Property and Compliance Committee at its headquarters as part of efforts to safeguard the Church’s intellectual assets and address issues of piracy.
The newly formed committee is chaired by Apostle Dr. Ebenezer Hagan and comprises Pastor Dr. Felix Dela Klutse, Lawyer Bernard Bosumprah, Her Honour Deaconess Susanna Nyakotey, Deaconess Mrs. Georgina Asante, Deaconess Professor Gladys Quartey, and Elder Bismark Offei-Ansah.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the General Secretary of the Church, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, stressed the importance of protecting the Church’s intellectual property and tackling piracy.

He explained that the committee has been mandated to develop strategies, advise the Executive Council, and ensure compliance with intellectual property regulations.
According to him, the committee will also lead educational campaigns aimed at sensitising church members and the general public on the need to respect intellectual property rights.
Private legal practitioner, Bernard Bosumprah, noted that the protection of intellectual property is not only important for the Church but is also a legal obligation under Ghanaian law.
The initiative forms part of the Church’s broader commitment to preserving its creative works and ensuring adherence to national legal standards on intellectual property protection.
