The Superintendent of the Eastern Region “C” Assemblies of God Church,Kwahu Mpreaso Rev. Joseph Baidoo, has commended former President John Dramani Mahama for honoring a pledge he made to God, describing him as a man of his word.
President Mahama returned to the Assemblies of God Church in Mpraeso, Kwahu, with a GHC50,000 donation to redeem a pledge he made during last year’s Easter festivities.
The former President, after participating in a Business Forum in the area, worshipped with the church and vowed to return with a thanksgiving offering should he secure victory in the 2024 elections.
Rev. Baidoo in an interview with Starr FM praised Mahama’s commitment, saying his action is a reflection of faithfulness and integrity.
“This, for me, shows faithfulness on his part to God because he made the promise and he has come to redeem that promise,” Rev. Baidoo said. “It tells us how much he is faithful and goes by his word. So, that gives us trust that our President—every word that he has given, by the grace of God—he will keep and fulfill.”
“If he has done it to God, he will do it to man. It reinforces the belief we have in him that, by the grace of God, whatever he said before, he will do—to the glory of God,” he added.
