The Concerned Youth of Binduri have called on government and security authorities to take swift and decisive action following the brutal killing of a woman and her four children in Binguri, a community in the Binduri District.
At a press conference held over the weekend, the youth expressed deep outrage and disappointment over the attack, which they described as barbaric and unacceptable.
They demanded justice for the victims and an immediate end to the cycle of violence that has plagued the area.
Addressing the media, youth leader Sule Salifu Azanamaal leveled serious allegations against security agencies operating in the district.
He accused some personnel of aiding adversaries during curfew hours to target members of the Kusaasi community.
“We are deeply disappointed. The people we trust to protect us are allegedly assisting those who seek to harm us,” Azanamaal said. “This is a betrayal of their mandate and a threat to our lives.”
His comments have intensified public scrutiny of the role of security forces in the conflict, prompting widespread calls for accountability.
Women who attended the press conference also voiced their frustration and accused security agencies of failing to protect civilians during curfew hours.
“The security agencies are supposed to protect us, but they have failed,” said one woman. “They are biased in this conflict, and we demand their removal. It’s clear they are not doing their job.”
Both the youth and women demanded an independent investigation into the killings and urged the government to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
The press conference highlighted the growing anger and disillusionment among residents of Binduri, who are urging authorities to restore peace and uphold the rule of law in the district.
No official response has yet been issued by the security agencies or government authorities at the time of filing this report.
