President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in London for a high-level working visit aimed at strengthening economic relations between Ghana and the United Kingdom, attracting investment, and engaging the Ghanaian diaspora.
The President was welcomed on arrival by Lord Katz MBE of the Royal Household, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Ireland, Sabah Zita Benson, and Gordon Wetherell, Special Representative of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
A key highlight of the visit will be an audience with King Charles III and a breakfast meeting with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

The engagements are expected to focus on deepening bilateral cooperation and expanding economic opportunities between the two countries.
President Mahama is also scheduled to attend a town hall meeting with members of the Ghanaian diaspora in London on Sunday evening.
The event, organised by the Ghana High Commission, will provide an opportunity for the President to interact directly with Ghanaians living in the United Kingdom.
On Monday, the President will open the Ghana-UK Investment Summit at Raffles London. The summit is expected to showcase Ghana as a leading investment destination and facilitate partnerships between Ghanaian businesses and British investors.
As part of efforts to promote Ghana’s growing role in global financial markets, President Mahama will visit the London Stock Exchange, where he will ring the opening bell to mark the start of trading.
The President will also deliver an address at Chatham House and present a keynote speech at the 12th Africa Debate at Guildhall, London, where he is expected to discuss Ghana’s economic outlook and broader African development issues.
The visit is scheduled to conclude on June 3.
The Presidency says the trip is intended to reinforce Ghana’s long-standing relationship with the United Kingdom, attract foreign direct investment, and strengthen ties with the Ghanaian community abroad.
