President-elect John Dramani Mahama has issued a strong condemnation of recent acts of lawlessness, urging all citizens to maintain peace and unity during this transitional period.
In a statement addressing the nation, he emphasized the need to uphold democratic principles and called on security agencies to act decisively in maintaining law and order.
“I condemn, in no uncertain terms, these acts of lawlessness and demand that they cease immediately,” Mahama stated. He reiterated the importance of resolving grievances through lawful and constructive means, rather than resorting to violence or criminal activities.
Referring to his earlier remarks during a recent public address, he reminded citizens to avoid actions that could undermine the democratic process. “I urge everyone not to vent their frustrations through criminal enterprises. This is a time to rebuild trust, love, and decency among all Ghanaians,” Mahama said.
The President-elect also acknowledged ongoing investigations into certain incidents and assured citizens of his commitment to justice and accountability.
