The Asokore Mampong Municipal Chief Executive, Ben Abdallah Alhasan, has assured Kumasi Academy (KUMACA) of the Assembly’s full backing in its quest to attain Grade A status.

He said the Assembly would collaborate with the school’s management, old students, traditional leaders, parents and other relevant stakeholders to identify the institution’s pressing needs and find lasting solutions to challenges that could impede its progress.
The MCE made the pledge at the 70th anniversary celebration of Kumasi Academy, where he reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to improving the quality of education and expanding opportunities for young people in the municipality.
He explained that the elevation of KUMACA to Grade A status would enhance the school’s standing while creating a more favourable environment for students to excel academically, nurture their talents and acquire the skills required to make meaningful contributions to society.

The MCE described education as a fundamental driver of development and stressed that its advancement could not be left to government alone.
He called for a united effort involving local authorities, school administrators, teachers, parents, past students and communities to support the growth of educational institutions.
Hon Alhasan assured the school community that the Assembly would continue to seek ways to assist schools across the municipality. He said such support would focus on critical areas, including infrastructure, teaching and learning facilities, and the general welfare of students.
He further stated that the Assembly’s support for KUMACA formed part of the municipality’s broader development agenda, which sought to promote sustainable growth and improve the living conditions of residents.
According to him, the Assembly would continue to implement programmes designed to create an enabling environment for education, economic advancement and social development within the Asokore Mampong Municipality.
Mr. Alhasan noted that the performance and progress of schools were directly connected to the development of their communities. He said the training of responsible and well-educated young people would play an important role in shaping the future of Asokore Mampong and Ghana.
He urged the leadership, students, staff and other stakeholders of Kumasi Academy to remain united and sustain their support for the institution as it built on the achievements recorded over the past 70 years.
The anniversary celebration brought together the school’s management, teachers, students, past students, parents, traditional authorities, dignitaries and other members of the KUMACA community.
The event provided an opportunity to celebrate Kumasi Academy’s seven decades of contribution to education and national development.
Mr. Alhasan expressed confidence that continued cooperation, commitment and collective action would enable KUMACA to achieve the desired standard and strengthen its position among the country’s leading schools.
