Ghana’s legal community has outlined plans to celebrate the distinction milestone of legal luminary, Tsatsu Tsikata’s 50 years at the bar.
A commemorative three-day celebration will be held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) from August 6 to 8, 2025.
The event, themed, “Celebrating 50 Years of Tsatsu Tsikata at the Ghana Bar – 1975 to 2025,” will spotlight Tsatsu’s life, work, and impact through a series of conversations, memories, and reflections.
The celebration will feature notable speakers, including Tony Lithur and Thaddeus Sory, former students of Tsatsu Tsikata, who will share insights into his legal practice.
Other prominent speakers include Goosie Tanoh, Presidential Adviser on the 24-Hour Economy, and Nana Appia Kyei, Director of Kosmos Energy Ghana and former Head of the Exploration Department of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).
The three-day event will be divided into sessions, with the first evening focusing on Tsatsu’s legal practice, the second evening exploring his academic career, and the third evening discussing his wider NDC and national involvement.
Renowned lawyers, such as Lawyer Emile Short, former Commissioner on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), and Professor Raymond Atuguba, outgoing Dean of the University of Ghana Law School, will also share their thoughts and reflections.
The event promises to be a fitting tribute to Tsatsu’s dedication and expertise, which spans five decades and has left an indelible mark on Ghana’s legal landscape.
