New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for Nandom, Lawyer Sylvester Isang, has proposed a cultural and community development package that includes a Nandom Cultural Centre, an annual Zongo Festival and the upgrading of Nandom FM into a modern radio station.
The proposals form part of his “Nandom Agenda: Possible Together”, an eight-point development plan unveiled as he seeks to become the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for the constituency ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Under the culture, traditional leadership and community development component, Mr Isang proposes establishing a Nandom Cultural Centre to promote, preserve and celebrate the cultural heritage of the people of Nandom.
He also proposes collaboration with the Nandom Traditional Council to introduce Zongo Fest, which he says would enable Zongo communities in Nandom to showcase their traditions while strengthening peaceful coexistence.
The plan further proposes renovating or constructing befitting palaces for Paramount and Divisional Chiefs and supporting the Nandom Traditional Council and landowners to establish a Customary Lands Secretariat to improve land administration, allocation and registration.
An annual inter-community football competition is also proposed as a means of promoting unity and youth development.

In the information and communication technology sector, Mr Isang proposes upgrading Nandom FM into a modern, well-equipped radio station to enhance information dissemination and community engagement.
He also proposes expanding the reach and impact of Nandom Television to promote development, education and cultural heritage.
The agenda includes establishing a website and other digital platforms to provide timely and accurate information on development initiatives, opportunities and achievements in Nandom.
Mr Isang also proposes using digital tools and social media to engage young people and the wider Nandom community, alongside capacity building for media personnel to improve professionalism and effective communication.
The cultural and media proposals are part of a broader development agenda that also covers agriculture, education, health, employment, social protection, water, sanitation and the environment.
Mr Isang says the proposals are intended to promote what his campaign describes as “A Stronger Nandom | A Brighter Future | Together We Can.”
The plan forms part of his campaign to secure the NPP’s parliamentary nomination as the party seeks to reclaim the Nandom seat in the 2028 general elections.
