The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed, has held discussions with a delegation from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and expanding security cooperation between the two countries.
The delegation, led by Mr. Mo’ath Alzo’bi, Director of Political Affairs at the Office of His Royal Majesty King Abdullah II, visited the Ministry for engagements focused on areas of mutual interest.
In a statement shared on his Facebook page, Mr. Muntaka Mohammed said the discussions centred on strengthening collaboration in key security areas, including counterterrorism, intelligence sharing, and capacity building for security institutions.

He said both sides explored opportunities for greater cooperation and the exchange of expertise to improve their collective response to emerging security threats.
The Interior Minister reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to building stronger relations with Jordan, stressing the importance of sustained partnerships in promoting national, regional, and global security.
According to him, closer collaboration and knowledge sharing between security agencies of both countries would contribute to developing more resilient and effective institutions.
The Jordanian delegation, he added, expressed its commitment to working closely with Ghana to advance shared security objectives and expand cooperation in areas of mutual benefit.
The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the relationship between Ghana and Jordan, with both countries expressing a shared commitment to promoting peace, stability, and security in an increasingly complex global environment.
