NPP parliamentary aspirant Lawyer Sylvester Isang has proposed a package of employment and enterprise initiatives, including a Business Development Fund, interest-free revolving loans for women entrepreneurs and a free apprenticeship programme for young people in Nandom.
The proposals form part of the aspirant’s “Nandom Agenda: Possible Together”, which outlines his development priorities should he eventually become the constituency’s Member of Parliament.
Under the employment and job creation component, Mr Isang proposes providing orientation, mentorship and start-up capital to encourage self-employment among residents.
He also proposes establishing a Business Development Fund to support entrepreneurs and small businesses in the constituency.
Women entrepreneurs would be targeted under a proposed interest-free revolving loan scheme, while young people would benefit from expanded access to vocational and skills training.
The plan also includes a free apprenticeship programme for young people, which Mr Isang says would provide another pathway into employment and self-employment.

He proposes establishing community farms as another means of creating jobs while improving food security.
The agenda further proposes the development of networking platforms to connect job seekers with employment opportunities and lobbying for what the plan describes as the equitable establishment of state institutions and agencies within Nandom to create additional employment opportunities.
The proposals form part of an eight-point agenda that also covers agriculture, education, healthcare, support for vulnerable groups, water and sanitation, culture and ICT.
Mr Isang has framed the plan around “Development, Inclusion, Opportunity for All”, with the broader campaign message “People | Development | Prosperity.”
The employment proposals come as Mr Isang seeks the NPP’s parliamentary nomination for Nandom ahead of the 2028 elections.
The plan does not specify the proposed size of the Business Development Fund, the amount available to beneficiaries under the women’s revolving loan scheme or the financing arrangements for the free apprenticeship programme.
