In a remarkable demonstration of royal solidarity and unwavering commitment to preserving the rich heritage of the Dagbon Kingdom, the Regent of Bimbilla, Nyelinbolgu Naa Yakubu Andani II, has made a significant contribution towards the ongoing reconstruction of the revered Gbewaa Palace in Yendi.
The Regent’s generous donation comprised 100 bags of cement, 500 tubers of yam, and a cash contribution of GH¢10,000, all intended to support the successful completion of the historic palace project.

Representing the Regent at the presentation was a distinguished delegation made up of Kpanso Naa, Zanjuu Naa, Kpihibara Naa, and executives of the Nanumba Youth Association (NAYA). The delegation was led by Kpihibara Naa, underscoring the importance attached to the royal mission.
Upon their arrival in Yendi, the delegation was warmly received by the Kuga Naa, who accepted the donation on behalf of His Royal Majesty, the Ya-Naa. The presentation reflected not only a material contribution but also a reaffirmation of the enduring bonds that unite the traditional areas within the Dagbon Kingdom.

Following the ceremony, the delegation was escorted to the Gbewaa Palace construction site, where they inspected the progress of work on the landmark project. The visit offered an opportunity to witness firsthand the steady advancement of the reconstruction efforts aimed at restoring one of the kingdom’s most treasured symbols of history, culture, and traditional authority.

The Regent’s thoughtful gesture stands as a powerful testament to the spirit of unity, kinship, and collective responsibility that continues to define the relationship between the people of Nanung and the wider Dagbon Kingdom. It also reinforces the shared determination of traditional leaders and their subjects to safeguard the legacy of their ancestors for generations yet unborn.

As work on the Gbewaa Palace progresses, contributions such as this serve as enduring reminders that the preservation of cultural heritage is a sacred responsibility—one best achieved through unity, generosity, and a common sense of purpose.
