The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) has partnered MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imaging to expand access to quality diagnostic services and strengthen early detection of diseases across the country.
The partnership, formalised through an agreement signed by the three institutions, is expected to improve access to timely and reliable diagnostic testing, particularly for patients living with chronic and non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
The collaboration brings together the GMTF’s mandate to support the prevention and treatment of NCDs and the diagnostic expertise of MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imaging.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Administrator of the GMTF, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, described the agreement as a significant milestone in the Fund’s efforts to establish strategic partnerships that improve healthcare delivery.
She said accurate and timely diagnosis was critical to effective treatment and described the partnership as an important investment in the health and wellbeing of Ghanaians.

Ms. Darko-Opoku expressed appreciation to the leadership of the partner institutions for their confidence in the collaboration and reaffirmed the GMTF’s commitment to working with stakeholders to address the growing burden of NCDs.
