NPP parliamentary aspirant for Nandom, Lawyer Sylvester Isang, has proposed the establishment of a Tractor Service Centre and an agricultural support package as part of his agenda to transform farming in the constituency.
The proposals form part of his “Nandom Agenda: Possible Together”, a development plan he unveiled following his declaration of intent to contest the party’s parliamentary primaries ahead of the 2028 elections.
Under the proposed agricultural programme, Mr Isang says the Tractor Service Centre would make tractors readily available to farmers and enable them to prepare their land on time.
He also proposes an Agricultural Support Package for Chiefs, under which each paramount and divisional chief would have at least two acres of farmland ploughed.

The agenda further proposes linking farmers to reliable and profitable markets to improve their returns and facilitating access to improved seeds and high-yielding crop varieties.
The proposals are contained in an eight-sector development plan covering agriculture, education, health, employment, social protection, water and sanitation, culture and ICT.
Mr Isang’s agricultural agenda also includes community farms, which he says would contribute to job creation and food security in the constituency.
The emphasis on agriculture comes as Nandom, like many rural constituencies, depends heavily on farming for livelihoods, making access to land preparation services, farm inputs and markets critical to farmers.
Mr Isang has said his proposed agenda is intended to provide practical interventions for the development challenges confronting Nandom.
His plan is being presented under the theme “A Stronger Nandom | A Brighter Future | Together We Can.”
The proposals are campaign commitments rather than existing programmes, and Mr Isang has not yet publicly provided details of the projected cost or funding sources for the proposed Tractor Service Centre and agricultural support package.
